June titles will be announced in 48 hours, but Amazon UK's search function doesn't seem to function properly for me, so there's no way to know what they are ahead of time.

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
Pages are up on Amazon for 2 titles.
The first is titled 'Three Edgar Allan Poe Adaptations Starring Bela Lugosi' and it contains Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Black Cat, and The Raven.
The 2nd title is Mr. Vampire.

Ack - I’d be all over that if I hadn’t picked up the Shout releases. Surprised it’s a mainline MoC release as well - will be curious what they add to the table.

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
Why wouldn't they have a set that includes The Black Cat as a mainline release???? I also bought the SF set solely for The Black Cat when the price came down a bit, but if the extras are interesting I might be willing to grab this new set.

Excited about the Poe.
Also couple days ago I found this disc from Grapevine Video including The Raven and Ghosts, both from 1915 and starring Henry B. Walthall. I think the label’s releases are DVD-Rs but for 8,91€ (it was priced that much when I ordered it) couldn’t resist plus their catalogue has some unique curiosities.

Eureka are announcing 3-new MoC releases tomorrow, given that it's a 24 hour turnaround rather than 48 that means we finally have a set that wouldn't have leaked the day before!

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
It’s now been nearly two years since the MoC line had a single release I didn’t want - but this is an especially solid line-up all-around. I’m actually quite surprised they’re turning around the Keaton set so quickly considering the delay following the first but no complaints here!
And it just makes me so delighted as more and more of the Wilder filmography is given the boutique label treatment, of which MoC has of course been the chief advocate. Just great.

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
By the looks of it there's that, Three Ages, Go West, and College that could be included but I assume only three will.therewillbeblus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:05 amExcellent news! I'd imagine the Keaton set will include Our Hospitality
In regards to the other two, I haven't been ecstatic about the Wilder they've been putting out recently but they're all films I'll definitely pick up at one point either on sale or on the cusp of being out of print.
The Man who Laughs was highly requested by everyone for MoC and will be a definite pre-order for me.

Underrated Wilder film IMO. I've been waiting for KLStudio Classics to release it since was forthcoming but if MoC is getting it out sooner I'll grab it from them.
Edit: Also it would be hilarious (but not really) if they slimmed down the packaging again on the new Keaton set.

I'm not a big Wilder fan but this is one of his best films, and the only DVD copy I've seen was awful so it's a very necessary and welcome release. I also think it's one of his most accessibly fun adventures, and hard not to like- definitely better (and a safer blind-buy) than most of their Wilder output.

Already have Man Who Laughs from Flicker Alley. The restoration wasn't as stunning as The Last Warning, but I may still double dip as the only on-disc extra is a 13 minute video.

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
I hope the Wilder will be a different newer master than the one used in France, because this one was pretty close to a SD upscale.
The Amazon webpage states John G. BLYSTONE & James W. HORNE as directors along with Keaton. If that's accurate, then I guess there'll be at least Our Hospitality and College.Apperson wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:17 amBy the looks of it there's that, Three Ages, Go West, and College that could be included but I assume only three will.therewillbeblus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:05 amExcellent news! Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
I wonder if there is any chance that this set will include all 4 films mentioned. I'd hate to see a film like Three Ages get orphaned as I assume this would be the last set. Right?

I mean, we know it’s still called Buster Keaton: Three Films, so it would seem modestly unlikely.

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
I’m sure Eureka have a plan and won’t just be leaving something on its own, especially if it ends up being a kind of bottom-of-the-barrel title like Go West. So I’m not concerned - I’m sure how it’s organized will make sense in the end.

Re: MoC Forthcoming, Wishlist and Random Speculation
I saw someone on bluray.com mention that the elements for Three Ages are in really bad shape. I don't know if that's true but it's always looked rough. So perhaps a reason. Edward F. Cline isn't listed on the Amazon page (if that's accurate) so I assume it will be Our Hospitality, College, and Go West as tenia pointed out.

All of them for me. The Wilder is one of the few films I didn't import a Blu-ray for during the list project.

Wow, great month and fantastic timing. In the past week I have considered ordering some of the Lobster's Keaton releases from France, and I ordered a bunch of MoC's Wilders to catch up, so I am definitely in mood for some more.

While I do like a lot of Wilder, I have to agree with therewillbeblus. Even if you're not a Wilder fan, give this one a chance as it's a lot of fun. I've always been a big fan of this film so I'm excited for others to check it out.therewillbeblus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:25 amI'm not a big Wilder fan but this is one of his best films, and the only DVD copy I've seen was awful so it's a very necessary and welcome release. I'm assuming The Man Who Laughs wont be region free?
