Re: Kino Lorber Studio Classics: Lost Highway
Studio Canal ? Do you mean the UK release (it's Universal in the UK) ? If that's the case, the UK release is sourced on the MK2 master, except in 1080i50. If you already have the Concorde, which is pretty much the MK2 master, save some money and don't bother.
If you're looking to update your Concorde disc anyway, I'd still argue the color timing of the KL disc seems much more convincing, and it possibly has a very slightly less sharpening (which, I guess, is good though probably negligible). But yeah, you won't get an upgrade on details and texture.

It’s the disc Studio Canal brought out in Germany earlier this year as “digitally remastered”. The lights are less blown out and the contrast is not as harsh:

My dad just beat up my mom but I think her face still looks pretty good. All those rabid fans of my mom should be thoroughly delighted.

According to at least two Amazon and Blu-ray.com users who have watched the disc, there are slight subtitle problems.

Developing a reasoned proportional response strategy, even to people we disagree with, typically occurs in the mid- to late-teenage years, and serves as a solid foundation of assured continued maturity.

So now one of you is taking a break from the forum for a week. And I'm locking the thread.
I do appreciate all of you who took the time to make reasonable, informative, or humorous posts. I'm not locking it because of any of you. But all the facts are out; we've learned all we're going to learn; there's nothing else to see here but the angry and humourless increasingly lose control in public.
