I'm not sure anyone ends up on something like a movie poster without at least a little bit of it.

“A little bit” is not a descriptor for this poster

She doesn't looke like Tate or herself in that poster. She looks like Alicia Silverstone wearing Ginger's wardrobe from Casino.

She does look like Silverstone! A user on Reddit already showed what I suspected: it would take zero effort to make a decent poster using the released set pics

I knew you’d hate that based on your oeuvre in the Worst Covers thread, but while not a great poster, it’s infintely better than the real thing

Very glad that guy's on Reddit and not on the payroll for this film, but respectfully agree to disagree

I got a good chuckle out of it myself. I was wondering what it was going to be like and well, it looks like it'll be quite a treat.

Dude really looks and sounds like Bruce Lee, also that’s a typically great Brad Pitt delivery.

Pitt’s response to Bruce Lee was hilarious, not sure about the rest of it yet but of course we only saw three of the 74 stars in this

Pitt's good at getting laughs out of the dry delivery, and I think his role in Inglourious Basterds depended on that. One of the funniest things he's done, for me, was the scene where he was speaking Italian with no attempt at an accent.
So yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing him in this based on that part in the trailer.

I'm far from a fanboy, but it's great seeing Tarantino leave behind the revenge western for a change (even though there's clearly a western film/tv in the film) and I'm a sucker for the 70s. Mildly excited

strong HAIL, CAESAR! vibes
I didn't much like HAIL, CAESAR!
but Leo seems like he will be really good. so there's that.

I don't know what the whole scope of the film is going to be, but nothing in the trailer suggests it goes beyond 1969
To be honest, I haven't been excited by the subject matter of any Tarantino film since Jackie Brown, but this one looks like it provides pleasures galore.

SpoilerShow
the film starts in 1973 at the height of Rick's breakout success then goes back to 1963 to trace his early career then ends in 1969 showing the transition period.

Sounds believable, if a little withholding of actual plot detail if that person did indeed read the script

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Quentin Tarantino, 2019)
If the film has scenes that take place earlier than 1969, it would explain why "Bruce Lee" is shown in his "Kato" uniform from the TV show The Green Hornet, a series that ended in 1967 (although that would hardly be a Bohemian Rhapsody-level anachronism!).black&huge wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:37 pmSome random redditor claimed "a friend read the first draft of the script" and said thatRoger Ryan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:29 pmI don't know what the whole scope of the film is going to be, but nothing in the trailer suggests it goes beyond 1969

Pretty interesting idea if it's somewhat true but as of now it's complete rumor.SpoilerShowthe film starts in 1973 at the height of Rick's breakout success then goes back to 1963 to trace his early career then ends in 1969 showing the transition period.

Yeah my bad, just seemed like very 70s like fashion, which also applies to late 60s. Anyway, I'm down for this.Roger Ryan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:29 pmI don't know what the whole scope of the film is going to be, but nothing in the trailer suggests it goes beyond 1969

Looks like Pitt's recycling his BASTERDS schtick, but with somewhat less of an accent. Life's too short.

He’s also carrying on his eating/drinking something during a scene tradition. I’m fine with it...
