It's no tackier than people insisting it's their favorite Christmas movie.

The whole idea of claiming Die Hard as the ultimate Christmas movie because it sounds cool or subversive is just tiresome at this point. Especially since Eyes Wide Shut would be a better choice. The design on that cover, though, is very phallic.

For the tagline on that cover, instead of "Yippee ki yay yippee ki yay" they should've used the correct line from the film: "Yippee ki yay, my friend."

I love that cover, hate that they're re-issuing it for the millionth time.

And they can't even be arsed to release the new HD transfer on regular Blu...you have to spring for the UHD release (same with Predator). [-X

For a film with such great visuals you'd think someone would do literally anything else. Harper looks like she's been turned into wax.

I kind of get the concept of mashing up the peacock into some kind of halo around Harper, but with the hanging body in the background and Harper's face being either her at her worst looking or a poorly drawn photorealistic montage, this is at least an awful execution.

So far only the Synapse restoration got the look of the movie right, so just as well if this scares off buyers.

Where has that Suspiria cover come from?
Is it a fake?

When you've got Photoshop but still manage to make everything look like it got cut out with scissors and stuck together with Pritt Stick.

The shadow of the guy and the car not matching each other is already quite bad, but when the whole cover feels like bits in 3 or 4 different styles (camera picture, digital drawing, 15 years old CGI for a video game), that's a whole different level of not caring.

Not that it makes it less horrid, but I seem to recall that being the original poster art.

Shitty art for a true piece of shit. It’s appropriate.

Most home video versions through the years have been variations on the above, but searching to verify this yielded an original theatrical poster that's somehow even worse:

Love how the two little Tom Cruises look like they're gearing up to jump on and climb around big Tom Cruise like they're in Shadow Of The Colossus
