Well, that they're being sold at Amazon is itself news-- they used to be only available via third party for exorbitant prices (2-3X the TCM cost)

These are the sets that are sold as MOD at Amazon now. So be warned that they may be DVD-R at TCM as well...

Midnight Lace coming to non-TCM Universal Doris Day box with five other films for less than it would have cost for the TCM disc

I finally saw the Blu-ray of ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS last night at David Hare's recommendation and was very satisfied with it. The restoration looks immaculate. If anything, I would rate it higher than Jeffrey Kauffman's 4 stars, but he also gives the film itself only 4 stars, so go figure. The disc reminded me of just how much I love the film. It's worth picking up!

Following screenings at BFI London Film Festival, the new 4K restoration of Sony Pictures' Only Angels Have Wings will be released across the UK on 15 May, opening at BFI Southbank and selected cinemas nationwide.
I hope this means Angels is getting a UK Blu and either Sony are doing it themselves or let Park Circus have it.

Add to this list "Frank Capra: The Early Collection". Ordered from Amazon - received MoD, though both the box and disc labels are claiming these are DVD Video's. But, at least, some Amazon marketplace sellers warn you about this.

Ordered from TCM directly. They list the set as DVD (vs. MOD for separate edition of the same "Bitter Tea...", for example) - received the set in slightly different packaging, still claiming these are DVDs, but again they are MoDs...

Will appreciate if somebody can suggest a way to get DVD edition (if there is any). Thanks!

Looks like I'll have to suffer that misfortune in order to have The Night Walker on something other than the old Universal 4:3 VHS release.

According to HTF, this release was canceled by TCM due to lack of sufficient pre-orders. Not surprising, really-- it was a pretty left-field announcement.
