I suspect the answer is "no", but could anyone confirm whether the Western Horizons box DVDs have SDH?

No TCM Vault sets have subtitles, to my knowledge
domino harvey wrote:Something foul is afoot with the Randolph Scott TCM set, which was supposed to come out September 2nd-- release date on TCM is now December 2nd and on MoviesUnlimited it's January 2nd of next year?
So this exists because my copy arrived even though street date isn't til next month. Two pressed discs with two films on each disc. I would speculate this release might be immune to DVD-R replacement since the discs would be double-layer and all previous TCM set fill-ins have been single-movie discs only. But who knows!

They just reissued Remember the Night with a new transfer. This was previously available as a DVD-R, with only a very limited run of pressed DVDs to start. Is there a way to tell whether this new version will be pressed or not?

Based on the menu screens with Library of Congress logo, DVD Beaver review is for the new edition.

The Lady From Shanghai Vault release has been split off here

Midnight Lace DVD coming in March-- guess they couldn't figure out a boxed set to create around it?

EDIT: This has already been released in a region-free Blu-ray in Australia FYI

If anyone is still trying to sort out the "Sony titles remain pressed" theory in the face of some contradictory evidence, I can report that I just ordered the Karloff, Jolly Frolics, and both Jean Arthur sets (which are the oldest Sony TCM sets and thus most likely to be repressed by now) and all were still on pressed discs

Uh.... TCM Vault's next release is just some Robert Osbourne interviews. Did they give up on this line or something?

It will make the perfect gift alongside your Robert Osborne bobble head.

I love how the cover lists Robert Osborne as one of the people in conversation with Robert Osborne.

I think it's a conversation with Alec Baldwin that will premiere next month or so. I still find the most fascinating talk he had was with Betty Hutton.

It was on a month or two back. The one with Eva Marie Saint is coming up fairly soon (repeat or not I have no idea).

It looks like TCM is putting out a box set with You and Me in it in July. Should at least be worth comparing to the Koch Media release (although it's pretty annoying to be forced to pick up a third copy of Ministry of Fear.)

UPDATE: I got my Dark Crimes Vol 2 set in and it is on two single-sided DVDs, two films to a disc, like the Randolph Scott Westerns set, in a slim digipak. And it is pressed, for those who second guess these things every time.

TCM Vault is going in a bad direction with more TCM Originals instead of Universal or Sony licenses:

So I just finished the DVD of Ford's THE LONG GRAY LINE which is part of the TCM John Ford Vault Collection set. Throughout 2/3s of the film, the image occasionally jitters, causing this strange kind of slowed down look. It's kind of hard to describe. What might this be? For those who own the set, have you had problems with this DVD as well?

Remember the Night! Awesome. Now if only Paramount can dig up Swing High, Swing Low for blu-ray release.

It's PD, so if anyone can dig up suitable elements they could do it.
