Fox Contract Players

I live for the day when someone publishes a list of each studio and all its contract players, along with the span of years when each actor was there.

Until then, for DVD searching purposes, can anyone add names to this list for 20th Century Fox?

I found a few. You might also try to find studio histories. There are at least a few: The Studio by John Gregory Dunne, The Fox That Got Away by Stephen Silverman, and Twentieth Century-Fox: a corporate and financial history by Aubrey Solomon.

Note: some of these might have been non-exclusive contracts. I know that Fox loaned out some of these actors during the time of their contractual obligations.

do you know if Gene Lockhart was under-contract or was he just a loan-out. i know Miracle on 34th Street , Leave Her To Heaven and Henry Hathaway's House on 92nd Street were FOX pictures.

Couldn't tell you, offhand. This topic isn't something I have a great interest in -- I was just in the rare mood the other day to do some gratis research to kill a bit of time (sorry).
