Did you get a booklet with Strip Nude? I ordered it from Wow in mid-April and didn’t get one.
Although they are a bit expensive to import, for my money, Arrow’s US releases have been some of their best recently. Basket Case, Re-Animator and Children of the Corn were all great releases and definitely superior to the local releases here at least.

I can’t speak for Colin but I bought my copy 2 weeks after release from them and it arrived sans booklet.

I bought my copy of Strip Nude a couple weeks ago from Amazon.com and it had a booklet.

Anyone have an exhaustive list of exclusives or is this it?EddieLarkin wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 2:20 pmFor UK folk, this will surely be the cheapest way to pick up the few USA exclusives Arrow have released so far (especially since Diabolik are customs friendly). To name a few of the more recent ones:
Basket Case
Torso
What Have They Done To Your Daughters?
Strip Nude For Your Killer
Re-Animator
Keoma
And Sister Street Fighter if you want it uncensored.

Yes my copy of Strip Nude For Your Killer arrived from Diabolik with the booklet though I received it a little while back (on 5th April and it probably took about a week to get to the UK), so that might not be a guarantee of anything now.kindaikun wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 6:44 pmDid you get a booklet with Strip Nude? I have not seen it mentioned here but Bloody Birthday is also a US exclusive (correct me if I am wrong).

Two weeks after release isn’t even safe now? God, why even print these in the first placeAdam Grikepelis wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 9:45 pmI can’t speak for Colin but I bought my copy 2 weeks after release from them and it arrived sans booklet.

Well, when I received my pre-ordered copy of Heathers direct from Arrow, it came with the slipcover but no booklet. Thankfully they had “one last copy” lying around & mailed it to me. I’m assuming this example was a packaging error, but who can tell at this point. Maybe it’s just better QC needed at the place of manufacture rather than print runs selling out exceedingly fast.

Huh, I suspected that finding a copy of Heathers with the slipcover meant it would also have a booklet, but I guess that's not foolproof

It seems like Arrow is not actually printing enough booklets for the first pressing of discs.

That seems more likely.

Then again, and I ask seriously, why bother including them at all if they become the equivalent of buying multiple packs of trading cards to find the variants? Even Shout Factory guarantees any copies of their titles with slipcover will be available with a slip for three months after release, no matter where you buy it. That’s clear and specific and allows them to print more or less of a title as needed to fit that promise. Why can’t Arrow say something similar, or give us more clarity? If you offer a premium product at a premium price, give your customers the respect of letting us know how to acquire it

Exactly. I think I suggested as much in another thread. They need to follow the lead of labels like Shout!, or even better Vinegar Syndrome, and start providing a clear distinction if they are actually short changing first pressings. Otherwise, why not just wait until their sales for everything.

More precisely : the first pressing has seen its batch size reduced.
Pre-ordered direct from Arrow, I'd suspect a QC issue rather than a batch-related one.Adam Grikepelis wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 1:13 pmI’m assuming this example was a packaging error, but who can tell at this point. I'd argue it's not the booklet that makes it a premium product or the premium price. It's not as if Arrow is boosting their prices up because of the booklet inclusion and then drop it once it's gone, but rather the opposite : it's an incentive for early non-discounted purchase. The main issue though is that their standard-releases booklets have dropped so much in content and quality it's hardly an incentive anymore (hence also why I certainly wouldn't count it as a Premium factor).domino harvey wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 7:09 pmIf you offer a premium product at a premium price, give your customers the respect of letting us know how to acquire it

I ordered the following, but guessing I'll be lucky to get a booklet in any of them:
Torso
What Have They Done To Your Daughters?
Strip Nude For Your Killer
Keoma

Tenia, my point was that since the booklet is an incentive to purchase early at higher cost, if they can’t even guarantee doing so will result in a booklet, what’s the point in even a consumer ever trying again after being burned?

I understood your point domino (though I might have made a superfluous distinction over the price point), I'm just even more critical of the current marketing of booklets since they mostly became so poor in content, you're burned even if you get one in your copy.

What, because some of the thicker booklets in boxsets have more pictures than you'd like?

I’ve never felt burned when getting an Arrow booklet. I recently picked up Strip Nude and was pleasantly surprised to find a well appointed booklet with a lovely essay by Rachel Nisbet that thoroughly deepened my appreciaction of the film. I don’t go out of my way anymore to secure a booklet in an Arrow release, its become a bit of a fool’s errand, but I’m always pleased to find one as they nevel fail to increase the value of the package.

Unrelated, but Arrow’s limited edition of Crimson Peak already appears to be sold out? Was that ever signaled as even being low, let alone sold out?

What makes you think that it's sold out?
