The shop received its largest haul ever today, more than 30 titles! Among the arrivals were five new additions to the shop's inventory (Neil Jordan's "The Crying Game," Fritz Lang's "The Return of Frank James," Victor Erice's "El Sur," Charles Burnett's "The Glass Shield," and Sydney Pollack's "Three Days of the Condor"), customer requested copies of Steve De Jarnatt's "Miracle Mile," Tony Scott's "The Fan," Takashi Miike's "Yakuza Apocalypse," and "Backlash" by John Sturges, plus 23 restocks.

I didn't ask, but if I had to guess I'd say it's the fancy packaging, new extras, and director's involvement.

Thanks! That prompted me to do a little research and it seems that the ending of the film is slightly different on this edition also.
