Fantastic news indeed! I backed it early on and had a sinking feeling until the last couple of days that it was not gonna make it.

A friend of mine is working on getting a lost film titled "An Aleutian Adventure" (from the late-20s) onto DVD and Blu-ray. Here's the Kickstarter:

Kier-La Janisse's upcoming book on Monty Hellman's Cockfighter

In her third book as an author, Kier-La Janisse (HOUSE OF PSYCHOTIC WOMEN) explores the intersection of Southern Gothic, ritual masculinity and second wave feminism in Monte Hellman's 1974 film COCKFIGHTER with a combination of cultural criticism and production history, while also examining in detail the Charles Willeford novel and the controversial bloodsport that inspired it.

Perks include copies of the book autographed by Hellman and Roger Corman, plus belt buckles and a Warren Oates tote!
First draft complete. Tentatively due for the film's 50th anniversary in July.

That may have to be changed unless Hellman signed copies of a makeshift book cover prior to his passing?

There's an update from 2019 on that page that has a picture of "Roger Corman's signature panel," so it's possible they both signed bookplates.

Also important to note that this is their second highest earning Kickstarter in under a day and is on track to become their highest.
