I can't help but be reminded of a tragic event that occurred over the weekend in Saskatchewan which recalls the catalyst in this film.

Linda Manz's performance is a stunner. One of the finest ever delivered by an adolescent.

Henry Hopper, son of Dennis, has reached out publicly for help dealing with an auction taking place of loads of his father's personal items, which he says the surviving family members were assured would be in storage until they could retrieve them. From his statement, he seems to think the best hope at this point is to have people contact the auction house (which shares its name with a film title the rest of which is Donkey Boy), though I can't see how public pressure will put a stop to this.
I looked it up and there are hundreds of items, the most of expensive of which they estimate will go into five-figures bidding.
