The 80's list discussion has had almost as many views and posts in 1½ month as this documentary discussion has had in 8 months. So I'm expecting a lot of orphans in our lists (and at least 30 orphans in my list!). In my mind reading about the orphans will be just as exciting as seeing the final list. So I hope you'll share.

Just to update you guys, I'm about halfway though the lists and should be done tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, but to anyone who is disappointed in my efficacy as a moderator I offer a full refund of your posting price.

Out of curiosity, how many lists were submitted, and does it look like there will be at least 100 films with more than one vote?

Fifteen, counting my own. It's going to be a narrow one, but I think we should make it.

If we don't make the threshold, it won't be because swo and I under-colluded!

(My conscience is clear.)

Ok, still working, but we are now officially up to 100 in the list. Granted, the last place has five points right now, but still.

Thanks a bunch, matrixschmatrix. I think we all could have predicted just how epic the 'Orphans' list would be, and I really look forward to hearing more about people's favourite obscurities.

Yeah, this one was a beast to tabulate, particularly since quite a few of those orphans were a lot of trouble to track down!

Oh, that is weird, I have no idea of where that came from. Sorry, there are bound to be a few errors here and there, so let me know if you see something weird.

Yeah, I noticed you seemed to combine Garlic is As Good as Ten Mothers with The Lacey Rituals too. Then again with this many films it's a miracle you came out sober.

Oh, I see what happened. The secondary directors got switched around for a few of them. I'll try to straighten them all out.

Excellent work matrixschmatrix! My greatest apologies, I should have known you wanted the directors included  . I could have saved you a lot of time then... I'm guessing most of your several days of tallying were spent trying to track down the year/director for two of my submissions :P (I looked and couldn't find anything).

Turned out to be a great list. A huge thanks to whoever else voted for Innocence Unprotected! (it was my #1) - and Domino will owe me for saving his darling from being an orphan.

I'll go through my orphans in the near future. I ended up with 32 orphans - I'm sure I don't hold the record though. Some rather big surprises in the orphans lots (though we couldn't all vote for everything!).

Nah, with a few exceptions just about everyone came up with something that put me through the ringer- I wouldn't worry too much. I nearly screwed up my on list by having typed "The Secret Life of Plants" instead of the "The Private Life of Plants"
