if not, is it streaming anywhere?
As mentioned above me, no. Lancelot du Lac to the best of my knowledge last has it's rights here in the US with New Yorker. Whether that has changed is unknown at least to me at this time. It's certainly possible at some point as New Yorker doesn't seem to be doing much these days though.

New Yorker also had rights to L'Argent and A Man Escaped, both of which have now been released by Criterion. My guess is they have access to Lancelot, too, but it lacks a restoration or high-quality transfer. The New Yorker DVD was pretty awful.

Just a side question: Does New Yorker still have Kore-eda's After Life? The DVD was horrible, and judging from the prices on amazon, OOP. Any chance Criterion could have this one?

After Life was open matte -- but otherwise much better than Maborosi (where the Japanese rights holder wouldn't make anything but a rather lousy, hard-subtitled print available as a transfer).

I know MK knows this, but others might not. Both these films -- along with Distance !! -- were released on superior English-subbed DVDs in Japan. Each is still available, for $34 USD plus shipping, at CDJapan. Still, where are the BRs?

The Maborosi and After Life (Japanese) DVDs look gorgeous -- only problem is interesting (but unsubbed) extras (and R2-ness).

Just a heads up....many of the Chris Marker offerings will be leaving FilmStruck on July 27th. A few seem to be retained in the Criterion Collection area, but not nearly enough!

I guess we now know for sure what the Grosbard is. Too bad it isn't Georgia.

Unfortunately, this wonderful animation series has been removed after a couple of days. The Fairy Tale Theatre collection banner has been corrected from 18 films (apparently including Dragons) to 8 films.
I contacted the help desk and was told that "as of right now, the titles are not available", which wasn't really an answer. Hopefully, the episodes will be uploaded again some time in the future. I managed to watch a couple and just loved them.
