Conclusion: Panik House has been on the scene a very short time but they are already shining like a bright, brilliant star and making cult film fans (and hopefully rival labels) take notice. This is a quality presentation of great, fun, sexy, gangster, juvie, super bad girl cinema. Techically the discs and the films impress. You get more than b-quality flicks too. While these films are definitely for sinners, serving up a smorgasbord of nubile flesh, gritty violence, and general lewdness, they also have some great directorial flourishes and provocative stars. Get the Pinky Violence Collection and get bad.

Update on those Pinky boxes delay:

* Hang in there -The Pinky Violence Collection will soon be on its way!

I halted the shipment of The Pinky Violence Collection Box Set today as a handful of the review copies exhibited a possible playability issue on the Girl Boss Guerilla disc. It was not a unilateral disfunction (it was actually only present in a handful of DVD players) but I felt that it would be best for everyone if we nipped any possible problems in the bud. All retailers have been notified, the problem has been corrected, and the new release date is set for December 6th. This will ensure that all retailers receive the Pinky Violence Collection on the same day, and that all retail editions will be the fully functioning, final release. This will prevent any possibly faulty discs from entering the marketplace. Sample discs will not be replaced, however.

Mine shipped yesterday from Amazon, which has me concerned too. Hopefully one of my 4 DVD players will be able to play the problematic disc.

The second title in the Female Convict Scorpion series aka Sasori has gone OOP as stated in the Image Entertainment thread. The first one by Media Blasters is still in print, I think.

Panik House, if you're listening, make this your boxset of Fall 2006, ok?

I mean, there are still #3 and #4 films seriously MIA in R1, so to have a boxset collecting this lot would be fantastic. Not to mention, the first time that would happen anywhere in the world! As an extra, how about a CD of Meiko Kaji songs, hey?

For the Pinky Violence collection Panik House has put together a slick package. The DVDs come housed in a plastic book like case. The middle of this DVD package contains twenty four pages of liner notes and Pinky Violence images. The CD is kept in a cardboard case that is connected to the rest of the packaging. They have also included a sticker that is a replica of the box sets cover art. The DVDs are in see through trays. The case that houses the movies can stand up on its own so if you wanted to you could display it. Also include with this set is a sticker that looks like this sets cover art. This box set is limited edition and there are currently no plans to release these tittles separately.

While most of America was enjoying a Thanksgiving feast, I was laying down a commentary track with Ko Mori (President of the Japanese film releasing company Eleven Arts) for our February release of TOKYO PSYCHO. Later this week I will be supervising the Spanish language commentary track for this disc, which will be completely bilingual, like the previous Panik House titles BANGKOK HAUNTED and OMEN. To my knowledge, this is the first Spanish language commentary track ever to accompany a Japanese film. This will be the World Definitive Edition of this film, transfered to the filmmaker's specifications. The inaugural edition of 7500 will feature a puzzle cover that you'll have to see to believe. More details to follow.

My copy of Criminal Woman:Killing Melody which I just got yesterday stops playing after the chapter 17 stop.All other chapters after that will not play either.I tried it on 3 different dvd players and a pc.Same thing!I sent Panik House an e-mail and am awaiting their reply.But I have to say this is a great set.Highly Reccomended.The sticker went right on my Mesa Amplifier.
