FilmRise / Screen Media

A word of warning on this upstart label putting out a lot of previously DVD-only films on Blu-ray: I just received my copy of Alex of Venice and it's a fucking burned Blu-ray. I have their discs of Loss of a Teardrop Diamond and City of Your Final Destination and I know the former is pressed (haven't opened the other), so I had no reason to suspect this. Unless I hear evidence otherwise, I think it's safe to skip all of this label's new releases, and shame on Amazon and Blu-ray.com not mentioning this important detail.

The real downer, it's edited down to 91 minutes minutes for TV. The "TV MA 14" pops up right at the beginning. F-bombs are muted out, amongst other things.
