Twilight Time / Redwind
Thrilled that "The Kremlin Letter" is being released, not least because I only discovered its existence days ago and wondered why I'd never heard of it. I am optimistic that the artwork (another thread, another place?) is not indicative of future release work:
I guess at least it's not that sketchy cover for "The Dead."

I'm just grateful that it's not surrounded by a navy blue border.

What a strange photo of Patrick O'Neal. Looks more like Roy Thinnes circa THE INVADERS! At least the title font and running figure appear to be taken from the original ad art. Other than that it looks like the PD bin at Big Lots. But I agree it's great that it'll be released as a pressed disc. Now if only THE ROOTS OF HEAVEN and the two Universal titles would materialize we'd have most of Huston available in R1.

I'm pretty sure that's Max von Sydow.Props55 wrote:What a strange photo of Patrick O'Neal.

Has anyone heard updates for this yet. It seems nothing's available for pre-order yet.

The second title in the series, Violent Sunday, is available for preorder, but is non-anamorphic scope 4x3 like its Spanish counterpart. Ie fucking worthless

Fate is the Hunter is a go-go. Any words of recommendation?

Violent Saturday in non-anamorphic again, but it looks much better than before. Just too cheap to make a new master it seems.

Looks like Twilight Time will be releasing their first Blu-ray, The Egyptian (1954), according to Blu-ray.com (and confirmed on Twilight Time's Facebook). Certainly not a direction I would have thought this label would be going so quickly...

Link to order The Egyptian. It's apparently limited to 3000 copies, and tags a whopping $44.30 including US shipping. It's an exclusive to the website, but I guess it could be re-released later through more conventional channels.
I really want to see this movie in it's proper ratio (the VHS was panned and scanned from 2.55:1!), but it's hard to justify throwing down almost $45 for any one blu-ray, let alone for a movie that is probably somewhere between Land of the Pharaohs and Cleopatra (the Taylor/Burton version).

Is it available anywhere else? That's definitely a film I would enjoy getting.

Woman Obsessed was released last month too, apparently. I'll probably pick up most of these save Violent Nonanamophicity and will weigh in if anyone's curious.

Kremlin Letter looked very good, but I think Eureka is planning to put it out and that will likely have extras.

Wow, they really are going for the deep cuts on this thing. Warners, see how you can get me to buy your stuff. Just copy Fox. Great cover too. It's haunting and oddly French.

TWILIGHT TIME joins forces with SONY PICTURES HOME ENTERTAINMENT to release Blu-ray editions of classic Columbia titles
The November 8th Blu-ray debut of director Cy Endfield’s and special effects master Ray Harryhausen’s 1961 science fiction/fantasy classic, Mysterious Island, will be followed by a new release on the first Tuesday of each month. Scheduled follow-up on December 13th is the original Fright Night (1985), the horror/comedy cult favorite written and directed by Tom Holland and starring Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowall.

Wait, what? I thought Fright Night already had a release. Are they talking about the sequel instead? Either way better than MODing these things.

Re: Blu-ray, in General
I thought Sony was releasing Mysterious Island on their own, as they hinted after Jason And The Argonauts. Disappointing, considering the price of the Twilight Time releases.
