The only of those three I've seen is The Ambulance, which is a great little Coma-like exploitationer.

I don't remember much about The Ambulance as it's been years since I saw it on VHS, except that Eric Roberts' character works as an artist at Marvel Comics, complete with Stan Lee cameoing as himself! Wonder what bit of synergy led Larry Cohen to make that decision.

So, this interview is now available as a 90-minute podcast from Shout Factory

I love The 'Burbs! I never understood the general public's aversion to it.
Also coming from Shout Select in a collector's edition, Hirschbiegel's Downfall (2004).
Not a film I expected from Shout!, but a welcome addition. Extras are TBD. I'm interested to see what they can load it up with.

I've actually met the writer for The 'Burbs and that film did come up - mainly how the studio completely messed with the ending. I love Joe Dante, but were all of his films compromised in some way by the studio? I wonder if Matinee was able to get through with little meddling.

I'm surprised The Burbs isn't being released by Scream Factory. I'm happy nonetheless!

I came across a listing for a Shout Select edition of Fargo at Grindhouse Video.
It is definitely not the Steelbook edition, as it has different cover art and the Shout Select logo, although they are both titled 20th Anniversary Editions.
No extras are listed and it shows a release date of 1/2/18.
Has anyone else heard of this particular release?

Scream just announced they are releasing the It's Alive trilogy on Blu-ray on May 15th.

Scream isn't saying if they licensed these from WB or if WB lost the rights.

Personally, I'm holding out a slight glimmer of hope that Scream did license them from Warner Bros. I would really like Scream to strike a deal with Paramount, since they're sitting on a bunch of titles that are worthy of the Shout/Scream treatment.

The exciting thing about this is that in the comments when people ask where they were able to license these from, all they’ve said was “THIS IS ALL WE ARE ABLE TO ANNOUNCE AT THIS TIME.” Both changing from their previous frankness on Nightbreed and Lawnmowerman licensing and indicating that there is something worth announcing soon...

Can we also talk about how quickly all of these other labels are picking at the carcass of Twilight Time? I know they’ve slowed down their output and I think “film historian”/co-founder Nick Redman has been in the hospital as well, so the more I see of Kino/Olive/Shout taking some of their biggest titles (and even Indicator in the UK offering region free) and easily outdoing them (the cover art here on Wild at Heart alone is worth the upgrade) I have to wonder how much longer TT has to keep the lights on.

Which cut is the Wild at Heart disc? Surely we all need the film without the smoke filter that lasts for a whole say ten seconds?

We don't know yet. I started writing to Shout Factory yesterday asking them to include the uncensored cut. I implore everyone who is interested in the release to please Contact Shout Factory and ask them to include the uncensored cut.

Thanks. For what it's worth, I just sent in a message urging Shout to include the uncut version.

It’s also worth requesting all the deleted scenes that were included in the Lime Green set.

Is there any particular rights reason or anything that Wild at Heart keeps getting bounced around from label to label without arriving on Criterion? You'd presume they'd want to snatch it up if it were available.

Yes. Almost posted this as well. Other labels are no longer “basically” doing TT releases at a lower pricepoint and non-exclusive model, they are literally doing it, thus proving almost all prior criticism valid.

Scream Factory just announced another WB title, Of Unknown Origin, so they've clearly struck a deal

If this carries beyond Scream into Shout Select it could be very interesting
