This is now “leaving soon” on Netflix. I suppose they only had a limited (4-year?) exclusive license for streaming and it will be moving to [HBO] Max, where A24 now has an exclusive streaming deal. The Criterion release was licensed from Lionsgate, which appears still to be A24’s physical media distributor of choice.
Netflix had a deal with Sandler, which I believe is what led Netflix to get distribution rights in either just the U.S. or all of North America. They still seem to have a strong working relationship, so maybe the specific film had a clause to lapse or something (unless other Sandler movies are leaving too?)

My understanding is Netflix has distribution rights outside of the States, which includes Canada, because of the Sandler deal, but A24's involvement led to them having US rights. I'm assuming Netflix US only had it exclusively for a set amount of time.
